Paint Your Own 3D Printed Models
A new venture for us. Ever fancied owning a scale model of your own classic car, or that classic you’ve always wanted? Or perhaps you’re after a gift for a loved one? Orson are now offering a 3D Printed Model making service. Using state of the art software and technology, we can 3D print a car of your choice.
Simply email us a file that’s an .stl type, and we’ll do the printing. Then it’s over to you to modify and paint the model as you wish. The PLA material we use allows you to paint the model to your desired design, but sanding and prepping might be necessary beforehand.
Any models we print are and must be strictly licensed under the Attribution 4.0 International Deed, allowing the legal copy and redistributuion of the material in any medium or format for any purpose including commercially.
A 3D printed model is priced at £20 including VAT as an introductory offer. (Ex Postage)
Terms & Conditions
In order to get the best out of your order, we’ve put the following terms and conditions in place.
– The file sent & used must be of an .stl file type.
– The file MUST have an Attribution 4.0 International Deed; allowing the copy and redistribution of the material to be shared for any use INCLUDING commercially.
– Due to the nature of the printing and file type, please note models may NOT be finished to a perfectly smooth finish. If painting, corners may need to be smoothed off yourself and panels may need to be sanded first. Other details may also have slight imperfections that simply cannot be avoided with 3D printing.
– We are not able to modify the model file. We cannot add any extra details, therefore this would be down to the customer.
– The PLA material we use is white only, to make painting the model easier for various colors.
How To Order
To make an enquiry and to ensure we can proceed with your request, simply email us your .stl file to us at sales@orson-equipment.co.uk with any further details. We’ll check that the file meets the Attribution 4.0 International Deed, and will confirm if we can go ahead and print or not.
After printing, we will quality check before sending. If any details are too far imperfected in the printing process, we will advise you before sending and retry if required.
